The Washington Invasive Species Council and the Washington Department of Natural Resources invite you to their upcoming Urban Forest Pest Readiness Summit at the Puyallup Research and Extension Center, 2606 W. Pioneer Avenue, Puyallup, WA 98371. Coffee and lunch will be served. Please include any dietary restrictions in your registration. This is an in-person only event; there is no hybrid option.
Continuing education credits from the International Society of Arboriculture and pesticide recertification credits from the Washington State Department of Agriculture are being requested. This summit is focused on assisting communities in assessing pest readiness, documentation, and planning a path forward to becoming more prepared. The event will cover the economic impacts of urban forest pests, urban wood reuse, and updates on local pests of concern. The State of Washington Urban Forest Pest Readiness Playbook will be presented as a tool for municipalities, and a sample readiness plan will be introduced.
Intended Audience: Any and all urban forestry-related municipal staff, tree care contractors, and anyone who could benefit from learning more about pest readiness. Attendance is limited to the first forty registrants, so register today!
